Dr. Mary Acquaye Moore

Head, Department Of Tourism Management

Welcome to the Department of Tourism Management

It is with great pleasure and honour that I welcome you to the Department of Tourism Management, one of the three departments under the School of Applied Arts. Since its establishment in October 2000, the Department has remained committed to training skilled professionals for the tourism and hospitality industries through dynamic academic programmes and practical learning opportunities.
Our Department currently offers a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Tourism Management (Regular and Weekend), Higher National Diploma (HND), and Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management. These programmes are carefully structured to equip students with the knowledge and competencies needed for middle and upper-level management roles in the tourism, hospitality, and related service industries.
Our faculty and staff are dedicated to creating a stimulating learning environment that encourages critical thinking, innovation, and ethical leadership.
The Department also serves as a hub for research and community engagement in tourism, with the broader goal of contributing to the socio-economic development of Ghana, Africa, and the global tourism landscape.

We are proud of our vibrant academic community and invite you to be part of this exciting journey in shaping the future of tourism through education and professionalism.

Warm regards,
Mary Acquaye Moore (Ph.D).
