It is with much pleasure that I welcome you to the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Cape Coast Technical University. The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has an array of highly qualified and dedicated faculty, and supporting staff, who diligently attend to the needs of our students, and prepare them adequately to face the world of work upon the successful completion of their programs of study.

The department offers diploma and undergraduate programs in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The areas of specialization for the consideration of our prospective students are Automation and Control, Power System Engineering, Telecommunications, and Computer Science and Engineering. The courses offered in these programs give our students a good balance of theoretical background and practical experience for a chosen study plan.

Introduction

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established primarily to provide training in a range of technical courses and programmes, first at the pre-tertiary level, and later,

Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes. Following the upgrading of the then Cape Coast Polytechnic into a Technical University in 2018, the Department developed Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programmes. The core focus areas of the Department are Electrical Power Engineering, Control Systems and Automation, Computer Systems and Telecommunication Engineering
